Understanding Chakras as Energy Centers

Chakras are regarded as "force centers" or whorls of energy that emanate from specific points on the physical body. These energy centers extend through the layers of the subtle bodies, forming an increasingly expansive, fan-shaped configuration that resembles the shape of a heart. Chakras are described as rotating vortices of subtle matter and are seen as focal points for the reception and transmission of energy throughout the body and beyond.

The Chakra Tuning Fork Set

The Chakra Set consists of seven specialized Tuning Forks, each designed to interact with the chakra system. Unlike tuning forks based on musical scales, these are based on the mathematical rotations of planets within our solar system. This planetary approach means the forks resonate not just with the physical body but also with the cosmic, multi-dimensional aspects of our being, affecting subtle bodies and energetic pathways. The frequencies used in this set are derived from the planetary cycles within the solar system, linking each tuning fork to a specific aspect of our cosmic multidimensional selves. Through layers, gateways, and levels of energy, these tuning forks provide pathways toward a Universal understanding of life and the soul's infinite relationship with it.

Difference from the Harmonic Spectrum Set

The Chakra Set differs markedly from the Harmonic Spectrum Set (currently available in store), which is tuned to the Pythagorean Scale (also known as the Just Scale). While the Harmonic Spectrum Set works with the physical plane—addressing the five senses and physical structures like tissues, fluids, bones, and organs—the Chakra Set operates on a more ethereal, energetic level.

Development of the Chakra Tuning Forks

These seven planetary tuning forks were developed by Swiss mathematician and musicologist Hans Cousto. Each fork is assigned a specific frequency corresponding to both a chakra and a planetary or cosmic cycle.

Detailed Description of Each Chakra and Tuning Fork

1st Root/Muladhara/Base – 194.18 Hz

The Root chakra is associated with instinct, security, survival, and basic human potential. Located between the genitals and the anus, this center is attuned to the frequency of an Earth Day (24 hours). The ROOT fork is effective when applied to the pubic bone and coccyx.

2nd Sacral/Svadhisthana – 210.42 Hz

The Sacral chakra corresponds to the testes or ovaries, which are responsible for producing sex hormones involved in the reproductive cycle. This tuning fork matches the frequency of the Synodic Moon (full moon cycle) and stimulates sexual energy, supports erotic communication, and benefits women’s cycles and the glandular and lymphatic systems. It also relates to the genitourinary system and adrenals. 

3rd Solar Plexus/Manipura – 126.22 Hz

The Solar Plexus tuning fork resonates with the Sun, our solar system’s central star. This frequency supports metabolic and digestive systems. 

4th Heart/Anahata – 136.10 Hz (Cosmic OM)

The Heart tuning fork is tuned to the OM vibration and the frequency of an Earth Year (365 days). This fork encourages relaxation, supports the immune system and circulation, and fosters spirituality and devotion.

5th Throat/Vishuddha – 141.27 Hz

The Throat tuning fork vibrates at the frequency of Mercury and is linked to communication and growth through expression. It is helpful for the throat area and the thyroid gland, which regulates growth and maturation through hormone production.

6th Third Eye/Ajna – 221.23 Hz

The Third Eye tuning fork aligns with the frequency of Venus and targets the pineal gland, which is sensitive to light and produces melatonin to regulate sleep and wake cycles. This fork is used on the Third Eye point, located directly between the eyebrows.

7th Crown/Sahasrara – 172.06 Hz

The Crown tuning fork vibrates at the frequency of the Platonic Year (25,920 years) and is associated with pure consciousness. This chakra is similar in function to the pituitary gland, which communicates with the endocrine system and connects to the central nervous system via the hypothalamus. The Crown fork supports universal consciousness, meditation, and unity, and helps bring joy and happiness. It is used on the crown chakra at the top of the head, aligned with the tops of the ears.
