LP Monsoon Rainstick
With the LP Monsoon Rainstick you can emulate the sound of solid rainfall for a full 26 seconds when standing on end (or even longer if angled rather than turned full vertical upside down). This compares with 3 – 12 seconds for a regular one metre bamboo version. Long ago the rainstick was believed to be used by Native American shamans to summon divine intervention to bring about rainfall. It was usually made from a dried cactus with the spines reversed and driven into the body in a helix formation and filled with pebbles or beads. These days the rainstick is useful in helping to create a sense of natural atmosphere and is popular with sound healers and story tellers. Many rainsticks are now made from bamboo however the LP Monsoon Rainstick features a solid wooden body with natural and matt-finish stained timbers.
