Kiss Kass Wicker Shaker (Caxixi) Small

Usually played in pairs, these hand-crafted wicker shakers come in lively, vibrant colors, adding a playful touch to any collection of percussion instruments. Known as the African Kiss Kass (traditionally referred to as Caxixi or Ca-she-she), they offer an array of sound possibilities contingent on how they are played.

The Kiss Kass shakers are meticulously woven by hand using elephant reed sourced from the fertile flood plains of northern Ghana. Each is filled with stones or seeds and closed off with a gourd base.
