Djembes Available

Son of Drum offers a selection of djembe drums for sale from our Mullumbimby store. Please enquire to find out about availability.

Drum shells are sourced from exotic destinations including Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali and Ghana in West Africa, as well as from Indonesia and Australia. Many are locally made by master drum maker John Batterham here in Mullum and only the best quality Australian goat or cow skins are used for durability, sound and longevity.

We also keep a selection of bags, head covers and padded cases for transport, storage and protection from Australia's harsh elements. Excessive heat can cause the skin to expand and split so we highly recommend an appropriate form of insulation such as a bag or case if you live or are traveling to a warmer region with your djembe.
